I think that this is the line that FIA suggest for F3 competitions there...

Looking at the length of the track (3,2 km) and the lap time that the guy on the film recorded (200 secs) - average speed was close to 60 km/h. And I did not see him braking too much. This track is fast.

hi again!

I have no official news because of the track.
I want a written reply from them!! They still orginize their calendar and pricelist....

For the ship I'm not worried, because we know that we'll get more than 20% of discount and there is no problem of availability.
But I know that the track this year makes many important changes to their political of planning and till I will get more details from them I don't know the specifics.

I've called the track today.
They promised me a reply on Monday.
In case of a negative reply for that day I've some alternatives for other dates...
But I still hope that it would be ok for 22 of August! :)

Hello.
I called the track today too... They can't give it to us on Saturday 22 for exclusive use. There is an organizer of moto races that wants for 2 days the track. The principal race is on Sunday -a 6 hours bike race-, but they usually take another day before too and have a small speed race only for Northern Greece.

So...there are some other solutions close to our pre-fixed day.

1) have the track on Friday 21 of August (exclusive use)
2) have the track on Monday 24 of August (exclusive use)
3) talk with the organizers of the race to know if they want all the day of Saturday, understand their program and evaluate if there is a possibility to co-exist at the track....(know nothing this moment...try to contact them tomorrow...)

There are also 2 free Saturdays on August, but I don't suggest them...
4) 1st of August (too early)
5) 8th of August (enough early too, but also the high prices -of high season- to everything nearby!! No possibilities to negociate with hotels and others)

Write what do you think.
We have a discussion inside greekcelica forum about this.
Between points 1 or 2... I can't understand what is better. I think they are quite the same thing...

Any suggestion??

Both (options 1 and 2) I like the most because I plan to spend in Greece more than weekend... so I do not care if track day is Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday at all...

Ok!! Thanks for the replies!!

Last wednesday I've sent another email to the track to block Friday 21 and Monday 24 of August and yesterday I spoke with them by phone.
They can wait for our final choice.
At the meantime we try to define the exact day and they have to prepair and communicate to us the cost and the deadlines of the payment.

In greek forum almost everybody of partecipants prefer Friday, because most of the people have to return at the work on 24 August.
If we'll do it on Monday (24), they have to take this day, but they work the day after and it's gonna complicate a little bit their programs (+ more stress for their return travel at the night).

So, I think that it's quite sure that it's gonna be on Friday 21 of August.
In a few days I'll modify the general program and communicate it to the track. ;)
