Hi to everyone.
Here is the general program of the meeting.

I'm in contact with the track. It's ok for 22 of August but I have to call them again at the end of September for the confirm.
Found an hotel between the 1st and 2nd peninsula of Halkidiki with parking and other facilities, so we are close to many places.
I'm also waiting for other solutions by a friend who has a travel agency there ;)

For those who have to take the boat I suggest a pre-meeting in Italy and the departure from Ancona to Igoumenitsa on 20 August.
And a return on 28 or 29 of August from Igoumenitsa to Ancona.

THE DAYS OF THE MEETING

Thursday 20 August 2009

At the afternoon (14.00-14.30) meeting at Thessaloniki + lunch

Then, departure for the hotel at Serres (about 80km) and accomodation to the hotel.

21.30 Dinner at the hotel

Friday 21 August 2009

08:00 Breakfast

09:20 Departure for the track.

09:30 Meet other celica members at the track

All day track at Serres circuit

About 17.00 departure for Halkidiki

Arrival to the hotel

About 21.00 Dinner

then.......the night is long..... :P

Saturday 22 August 2009

Breakfast

10.00 departure from the hotel for a tour at the 2nd peninsula of halkidiki about 60kms

Stop to a beach

15.00 Lunch

Then we will continue the tour (some stops for pics) and return at the hotel.

Dinner and ... beach bar

Sunday 23 August 2009

Breakfast
Check out for those who will not stay next days.
Mini tour and final official lunch.

For those who will remain we will prepare a more relaxing program for the next days.
Who wants will follow it or if not will be free to do his own program.

For those who will take the boat for the return I suggest another itinerary to reach the port of Igoumenitsa, which is a little longer but it passes through the area of Meteora and it's so spetacular to see and visit.

Maria, I understand that ones travelling from the north can go directly to Serres as most probably we would leave Hungary on Thursday morning which means 800-1000 km to drive that day?

CITAZIONE (TomPoz @ 20/1/2009, 18:09)

I don't know if it is so possible in one day, except if you leave from Budapest too early in the morning.
Probably you plan to pass through Serbia and then Bulgaria to Greece, don't you?
The border between Bulgaria and Greece is now open as EU states, but I think you will loose some time from Hungary to Serbia and then to entry to Bulgaria...
You have to calculate this on your time planning.
I haven't done this road...and I don't have a personal experience... :(

From the border of Bulgaria the distance to Serres is about 40/45km.
There is a "quicker" way (indicated to www.viamichelin.com ) passing through Skopia, but when you will entry to Greece you have to go to Thessaloniki and then to Serres which is longer.

It's time to close the partecipants list...and to pay for accomodation, track ect.

So...

10 MAY 2009
will be the deadline of the list of the partecipants and

30 of MAY
for the payments

It's necessary to close the list especially for the track, to divide the cost per person.
Also, the hotels are waiting the payments at the first days of June.

There is a bank account of the administrator of the greek club.
I will open a thread about just when I'll know the coordinates.
